I've been reading mag since it was Autox and reading forum since beginning but have never posted. I'm wondering if I'm the oldest subscriber here. I'm 71 and although I'm old my daily driver is an s2000. Just curious.

With a S2000 as a dd, you're far from old.

He might disagree with that since getting in and out of it is a workout by itself.

I think we have at least two guys here who are in their 80s.

That's true. That's why I've been debating with myself about a new Mustang as a dd. or maybe a GTI. I'll keep the s2k for fun.

Tolly is getting up there. Dunno if he's oldest. Oldest with one leg, maybe. Arrr. Yeah, "Oldest GRM Reader with one leg." We need an award for, that.

71 years old here also. My new (last week) DD is a 2015 Subaru Outback which I traded my Transit Connect for. But I still have my supercharged 2001 Ford Focus for when I want to have a little fun.

Like the Outback. Looked at one a couple of years ago but ended up with a 2014 TSX Sportwagon. Kind of underpowered but fun to drive in sport mode using the paddles. Small wagons are nice.

Who is Tolly? I'm surprised we have more than one member with just one leg.

Yeah, I remember Toly. The only car I can recall seeing him in was a white Morgan in the early 70s. I was definitely pulling for him.

I'm hanging in there at 66.

After most issues, I still get an e-mail from Toly.

Just a kid here at 69, with 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4WD and 2015 Subaru Forester DDs, and 94 Vette and 89 MR2 toys. Not in my second childhood, haven't finished my first one yet.

Toly is a legend, met him at Pikes Peak in 1987, I think, talked my ear off for about an hour - great guy! He was driving a Cunningham in the vintage category that year.

Say What? used to be my favorite part of the magazine, but now when a new issue arrives, I immediately flip to the letters section and look for one from Toly Arutunoff.

The fact that a guy like Toly even bothers with a bunch of dorks like us makes me smile.

Toly can often be found hiding in plain sight. He has spent time in our tents at the Rolex at Daytona and Mitty. The year before last we walked together from the host hotel to the SCCA convention. He's usually wandering the Monterey paddock.
