I love it when cars look better with the bumpers off. That Fiat looks great!
No boxes in this pic, just more old flared-Fiat hotness - 128SL. Drove one for 10 years and 120,000 miles; loved it (most of the time).
I love this thread!

Old '67-'68 Camaros and early Mustangs look great with no front bumper!
I concur - too bad that Pennsylvania has bumper laws and state safety inspection. I wanna move to Florida! There are some really, um, minimal cars running around down there. They don't have state inspection.
Yah, Florida is good for car folks. Rust free cars (mostly), no emissions, no inspections, lots of good tracks, 12 months racing season, no snow. BUT!! Absolutely insane drivers (three road rage incidents this weekend) 20' Pythons, black bears in suburban back yards, politicians that are a close second to New Jersey, and an economy that has totally tanked. Meh, if I don't move to Trinidad we'll stay here. Oh, fishing is good ,too.

that Lada is the sickest Datsun 510 ever built!
Was trying to come up with a list of cars availible here in the US with stock box flares.
Audi Quattro Coupe' BMW E30 M3 Mitsubishi Starion/ Dodge Quest Porsche 944/968
Am I missing any?
Nissan hardbody pickups. Dodge 3500.
My 1966 Cadillac came with a 30 year old flare jammed into the seat adjustment mechanism However, it was not a factory option nor was it in a box.

Fox body Mercury Capri, 1979-1986.
I've searched online to find something but does anyone have a "how-to" on making box flares?
Depending on the size of your flare I would guess that some calculated cuts along the quarter coupled with some filler metal, welding, grinding, and swearing. Anything more detailed than that available online?
The Evo comes with box flares as well.
Seems to me that cardboard would be the key. I'm starting to wonder if my MGB GT would look better with box flares instead of traditional ones, as it does have a seam along the side. it's been done to a very subtle extent, but I would be less subtle.
