Hey guys,

My 06 Toyota Sienna has had terrible radio reception for about 6 months now. Weirdly sometimes it seem pretty good, and some frequencies are better than others, but in general it's pretty poor. I live in a pretty dense area, and most of the radio stations around here are pretty powerful. No mountains around. All of my other vehicles seem to be working fine, so I think it is a problem with the car. I think it has a diversity antenna embedded in the windshield but it's only a guess as when I was working on keeping mice out of it I had the windshield wiper cowl piece off and noticed it had a couple of wires that were in the windshield that plugged into a connector  on the body of the car, and I know it doesn't have any sort of fancy windshield wiper de-icer grid like my wife's 4Runner had.  The windshield was replaced a year or two ago, and is currently cracked on the passengers side. The crack is about 8 inches long, and growing.

Any ideas as to where I should start.

I'm pretty sure that the antenna is in one of the rear windows. Our Sienna had midiocre reception at best.

My Subaru has the antenna in the liftgate glass. Very poor reception, very annoying.

The head unit can receive xm, but I'd rather get broadcast and send the money to my local NPR station.

I should have mentioned that it has the factory original traditional antenna mounted to the right side fender, as well as what I think is a diversity antenna in the front windshield.

Corrosion at the fender side?
