Fellow Seattle area GRMers, if you needed a head decked a few mm, where would you take it? I'm on the east side, but I'm not opposed to a bit of a drive.

I've had good luck with Autosport Seattle, in Ballard. They have rebuilt a couple Saab and a pair of Toyota heads for me, plus did some nice custom work to get a newer Saab head to bolt on to an older block, which they also worked on. Don't mind their crappy website. Brad, who mans the counter, has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things automotive. They have not always been able to get work done on time - I take it as a good sign that they are busy.

I don't know about the Eastside, but you can probably get a good recommendation from Europa in Bellevue, a busy indy shop over there.

I was happy with Bills Machine Shop on 99 in Lynnwood when I had my 302 machined for a rebuild I did on it.

C&D machine in Kirkland. Has done a couple for me and is recommended by my favorite import auto shop.
