Browsing the local Miatas on the classifieds, and found this ad:

Amusing ad to say the least. The dude makes it sound like a Ferrari F40 or something. It DOES look like he has done a substantial amount of work to the car tho. $30k dollars worth, as he claims? I call BS, but maybe this is alot of car for the money. What do you guys think? I figure alot of you around here might recognize all the parts he has on there, and can tell me if the car is really worth what he is asking, or if he is full of it. Thanks!
His writing skills make me nervous about the whole project. Mr Tanner can vouch for the parts, however.
notice the radiator hose...? and the super custom license plate heat shield, add he obviously didn't have 2 seconds to take the rag out of the engine bay for the picture. i wouldn't even test drive it that way...

Oh wow, didn't even see that. Nice catch.

You have a sharp eye.
I didn't notice the license plate heat shield.
Old license plate heat shield sounds very GRM to me, in fact I'll have to keep that in mind for the next time I need one.
Love the re-route fail, the need to write a novel (half-copied from a famous youtube video that he had no part in) without actually telling us much about the car, and the awful Glowshift gauges on a car that supposedly has had $30k sunk into it.
Blah.
Well with a "race built engine" any amount of expenditure is possible...but apart from engine internals it doesn't look like it has more than about $6k worth of parts in it.
Also it seems he's not letting anyone test drive it. Hahaha good luck with that!
I like the license plate heat sheild.
