This morning, I was standing in line at the post office, waiting to mail a package to my sister in upstate New Hampshire. As I set the box onto the scale, the clerk said that it would be $6.10 and would probably arrive the next day.
At that very moment, it occurred to me that I have a few days off. And a Porsche...
What the heck, it's only 320 miles away. In my mind, I'm saving six bucks.
I love moments like that. Enjoy!
Last year I drove 600 miles to have dinner with a couple of ladies I knew from high school. It makes perfect sense to me. Go see your sister. Enjoy.
I like driving. Porsche especially.
I can't argue with that logic!
you're my hero of the week.

Greenfield Massachusetts: Just found a J. Geils CD in the glove box. Not sure if I remember how to operate the CD player...

Hardest working band in rock & roll! Wammer Jammer!
Massachusetts is now in my rear view mirror. I LoVermont!
The Vermont Welcome Center in Guilford is one of my two favorites in the country, the other being Florida's (because you're not in Georgia anymore, plus free orange juice!).
If you're ever here, be sure to try the wooden rocking chairs. They are incredibly comfortable.
Just grabbed my sandwich out of the frunk an I'm about to point this thing north again. Next stop, 95 miles, somewhere between White River Junction and St. Johnsbury.
I love the Eisenhower Interstate System signs up here. I've got to find one of those that's been retired to hang in my garage.
Nice! This past weekend a couple of buddies and I drove 11 hours each way from Atlanta to Notre Dame to spend a total of 36 hours there.
Oh yeah, his left rear brake pad went to completely nonexistent about 100 miles in, so we had an awful sound and 3 wheels of brakes for well over 1000 miles of driving. Road trips are the best

...and the trip was STILL less annoying than the game!

Yesterday I finished a Boston to Austin road trip in a Miata with no power steering, no cruise control, and no radio. Woof.
I can see Mt. Washington.
Just crossed the river into New Hampshire
Try to stop by the Quechee Gorge and the Glass Blowing place down the road.
