We need a build thread!
Rather than starting an entire new thread with the same topic, can we get an update on this one? What were the final results so others can follow?
The final results were, this project never got out of the thinking stage.
Current toy is a G35 coupe, 6MT.
Current engine swap project is a LE5 Ecotec and 5 speed from a Solstice going into a Datsun B210.
So here's a question that someone may be able to answer, or know where to look to find the answers.
I noticed that the manual trans has almost exactly the same ratios as some BMW 3-series transmissions. Makes sense if Ford and BMW just subbed that off to Getrag. Now, my question: Does anybody know if they use the "same" transmissions, to where you could shove a Ford front housing section on a BMW trans?
I'm thinkin' a longitudinal Duratec with all wheel drive would be kinda neat.
