Hi, I have seen my bodies I produce , namely the Sammio Spyder , discussed on here in the past , a group buy was being attempted and John Chesnut is currently in negotiation with me to offer the bodies in a slightly different format from his facility in NH. I thought our latest model ( still in shaping process , so looks a bit like Fred Flinstones Race Car at present !! ) the G-46 may be of interest.....at approx 66'' wide and 99'' wheelbase , it would accept a slightly stretched Miata running gear package quite easily ....at current exchange rates £1495 = $2400

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

That looks very cool, I may be interested in one when they come out.

I've watched the Sammio here and on the Kit car forum with interest.

Any idea what the stretch in wheelbase will do to the suspension geometry of the Miata?

Since it's designed to be a bolt-on to the Reliant Scimitar chassis, might be worthwhile to see about bringing one of those over to USA (as used/scrap auto parts of course, for tax purposes).

If I was importing a scimitar I would be doing so to build a scimitar

Those things are cool!

Thanks for the positive comments guys ....The Scimitar is quite cool ...the Coupe more so than the hatch version.

The body we are creating is an outer skin style with double skinned doors , hood and maybe trunk ...it doesn't need to go on a Scimitar - a space frame style chassis could be created to accept any of your more easily available donor options - Small blocks , big blocks , Miata's etc etc.

I'm pretty sure something like an old Camaro or similar could give up all the bits needed.... would make an exciting alternative to the usual D-Type replicas etc that you see...
