What are the popular Saturn SL owners forums?
I am helping my sister with her '02 SL1 and I am looking for a replacement driver's seat in black/charcoal cloth.
I thought forums may be a good way to find someone parting one out.
Specifically this seat:
There must be something out there, because I saw a very professional-looking window decal that read "It's a Saturn – deal with it" on a 2nd-gen sedan that was lowered with wide wheels and a big exhaust.
www.Sixthsphere.com has the largest active Saturn forum out there currently. Should beable to find someone that has what you need there
I used www.saturnfans.com Lots of activity on the forum
Saturnfans is good for general maintenance, problems, etc.
Sixthsphere is the performance community.
Both have classifieds.
FWIW, the SL2 seats have rake adjustment on the bottom custion and lumber adjustment as well.
and in my opinion they're also less comfortable, despite looking nicer.
there's plenty of saturns in salvage yards around here. no luck where you live?
The Columbus Pick-n-pull shows a few on their lot if you are going to be down there.

Yeah, I need to check the local bone yards as well.
I need to get up to speed on the Saturn language. Through autotrader pictures it seems the same seat was offered in '00 to '02.
SixthSphere will not open for me and Malware does not like me going there. Is the site temporarily down?
It's up. The filter @ work blocks it as spam for me often. There are plenty of people on there from Ohio, so you'll probably be able to find someone who can help.
If it isn't critical that the seat match, all S-Series from 91-02 share the same seat brackets/mounting pattern. 95-02 all have normal belts (91-94 have the door-belts).
I haven't noticed any difference in comfort between them. None of them are particularly comfortable or uncomfortable. Just basic appliance seats.

Well, I defeted Malewarebytes long enough to get registered to SixthSphere under the same screen name.
Once there I discover this:
site says said:
To gain access to the For Sale section, you must meet the following criteria:
1. You MUST have 25 Posts
2. You MUST be a member for 30 days
This is to protect our members from fraudulent for sale posts.
Once your account meets the criteria above, the For Sale section will become visible to you
If this is an inconvenience, sorry.
(I'm not really sorry, I'm just being nice)
If you are a company posting products, your photos and links will be deleted on sight by a mod or admin unless you get permission from Tek first
kthxbye,

So, 30 days before I can find out what is in the For Sale section.
ProDarwin, If you are in there, see if anyone is parting out a SL1 interior near Northern Ohio. Please?
There is a guy in Cleveland, ten minutes from me that only deals with saturns. Fixing. selling. parts. ill dig up his number for you.
I have done business with him and things have gone well.

In reply to ProDarwin:
Thanks, I did not know you wielded such power!
I checked the three bone yards close by over the phone and none had what I needed.
My motive is that I am prepping the car to sell.
Sunday I pulled and cleaned the ERG valve with a good soaking of carb cleaner which was enough to get the code to clear.
Next is some front brakes to eliminate vibration while braking.
I would like to find a perfect matching seat but one that does not have the wear through on the bolster where my short sister rubbed getting in and out for 115k miles.
A perfect driver's door card that does not have a cracked speaker grill would be nice too.
With those items done, the car will be top shape.
Messaged a friend, you should be good to go now.
Not sure how much luck you'll have with 3rd gen interior stuff, but I wish you the best.
