Yup.  968 reciprocating bits could be used to make a 6 liter 928 engine, from what I've seen.

 

It was, for a long time, not only the largest modern 4 cylinder engine, but also the highest specific torque naturally aspirated engine, of any cylinder count.

I always wanted an S2 (that was the bad boy one, right?), but nice ones have been out of my budget for quite awhile.

That 355hp turbo V6 (which is only a 20hp upgrade over the naturally aspirated V6 available in the regular CTS currently) will make people forget all about the 640hp blown LT4 in the CTS-V3. I know that the Cadillac Vs were automotive freaks and that sooner or later the party had to end, but wow, what a downgrade

Seems that this writer doesn’t know much about the CTS line.  There was a 420hp V6 turbo CTS-V Sport for a while.

Wonder why they detuned the 3.0L turbo for the CT5-V?

Wonder why they use a different engine in the CT4-V, which doesn't seem to be terribly appropriate for the application? My guess would be cost.

It's GM. Nonsensical decisions are their forte. Yeah, why not use the old V-Sport motor in the CT5-V. The CT5-V literally makes less power than ever CTS-V before it.

The ATS-V motor was a 3.6L tt.  I don’t know what in the GM line-up was running a 3.0L.

the CTS V-Sport and XTS. But it was making ~400hp in those. So why yank ~50hp out of it?
