Recent donation to the school auto shop. We widened the wheels ourselves, and lowered it "all the way, baby." Spring rates are zero or infinity, depending on how you look at it.
Hoping to sucker a kid into learning paint and spray BRE livery.

Nice! I've pondered BRE livery on my B13 SE-R...
But if you're going to do an engine swap, just go all the way and drop an LSx into it.

Uh, if you haven't noticed yet, the SR20 barely even fits .

Very true, I forgot how much of a pain it was to change the belts on my old NX. Two liters in a One point six liter box.
Can you give us a how-to for widening wheels? I've tried looking on google but only found a brief overview.
Do you combine two skinny wheels to get one wide wheel or do you cut your stock wheel in half and then weld in sheet metal ring to widen it or is there some other method?
Thanks,
Bob
I have a set of widened vintage Corolla steelies for my Locost that were done by adding metal.
We widened these ones by cutting the outer edge off, and welding the back side of another wheel in its place. Went from 13x5 to 13x7.5, and the P155/80R13's stretched.
I will put together a "how-to" shortly.
I repurposed an old brake drum lathe to make the cuts to widen and narrow my Rangers steel wheels.
Rather easy if you have any patience, so obviously I screwed it up a few times.
