Much like Jim's "Cool Heavy Duty..." thread, but this one for small pickups. I hesitate to say "mini-truck" as that seems to pick up those odd little not-quite-road worthy things when doing a search. I have an old Ranger and for some reason I'm starting to look at old Datsun and Toyota pickups now.
So. I'd like to see what others have and/or like in small pickups.

This was mine. It's an '85 Toyota Pickup. 2wd, 22R, 5 speed. Lightly modified and fairly amusing. I'm glad I owned it. I'm more glad I sold it.
I'm partial to the Luv's, Courier's, P'up's, S10-S15's Ranger's-Mazda's, D50's...
Hmmm I guess I like 'em all!
Before I bought my YJ, I had an '88 Ranger 2.0, 5-spd that I was this close to having a 5.0 swapped in. Trucks on PowerBlock is doing a really nice Ranger...

No pics (well maybe in an album somewhere) but I had a 93 Dakota Sport 2wd, v6, manual. I loved the "Magnum" on the air cleaner housing and was happy that the engine was basically the same as my previous car (Aspen wagon with a built 318). I got it new and kept it about 10 years. It was a great college car - I didn't rent a uhaul until we moved into our current house. I could carry everything I owned in it. The only "mods" were a camper cover and a bed liner. I also had a Pioneer system in it. I had a set of snow chains for winter driving, which was awesome with rwd and no weight over the axle.
I ended up trading it for home improvement work. The contractor kept it for several years as his work truck as he built his business. I imagine its now in a JY somewhere rusting away, but I'd buy it back in a hearbeat.

I'm not sure who the owner is but that B2000 has a SR20 swap. Fredio stayed in the family with the FE3 :)
Fredio's ute
Ah ok, i couldn't remember what his looked like exactly, but i did remember a wood flatbed being on it while he was doing massive donuts at one point.
In reply to ClemSparks:
Common in the drift world. There's lots of 240-aminos and RX7-aminos out there. The RX7s look particularly good, in my opinion.

I believe every car guy should have a sports car and a hotrod or truck. At least this this is what I tell my wife :-)
I have often dreamed about a Ford Courier with a 2.3L Turbo mill, 5 speed, and Tbird IRS with a cage inside the cab whose rear brace angles ran through the back into the bed. Disguise with a cross tube and some KC Daylighters so it kind of looked like a cheap 1970s lightbar instead of part of a cage. Hoon.
The vehicle I would never have have sold. Had it not been totalled I would still be driving it. The best combination of utility and useability for a daily. Handled great, Fast as hell with the 16V swap, great fuel economy on MS and could haul an entire studio apartments contents in one trip with the air shocks pumped up
