I know you said CTS-V, but I found these two the other day in case you're interested.

Agreed, the 1st one is mislabeled. If that 2nd one is real, you'd be a fool not to get that instead. You could always just get your hands on the Holden or Vauxhall stuff and convert it over. Also, its stupidly rare and will hold it's value considerably higher than a 1st gen CTS-V.
If that real GXP was around here and was legit, I would have a certain Mazda 3 up for sale in the Open Classifieds.
The 2nd GXP has three pedals...you could only get three pedals in the GXP. All the GT's were automatic.

That is correct and I knew that, just missed it the error. Grr.

Well then. Each to his own I guess, as I happen to like the look!

Additional info: They made the GXP with a 6-speed auto as well. Boss had one. Yes, it's a GXP, not a GT (he traded his auto-only GT in on the auto GXP, then traded that in on a manual GXP).
So, in summary: GT = auto only; GXP = 6-speed manual or an auto.

lawlz.
So the silver one in Kentucky is $18,500 firm. Guy said he'd already turned down $17,500, so I didn't waste any more of his time. I'll give a call on the black one, and am still considering the silver one in SC. The black one is probably the best buy if it's everything he says it is. $100 plane ticket and $100 in gas (plus the inevitable $400 speeding ticket.) More than a little apprehensive to buy sight-unseen though.

Good God. I had forgotten just how sexy the World Challenge cars were.
Somewhere I have a list with all the GM part numbers used to build those cars...

All things considered, I think I'd go for a GXP with a stick. If only because they are much, much less common. With a few visual tweaks, they are really neat looking cars.

It's not even a comparison though, as you absolutely will not find a GXP manual for anywhere near the same money as a 1st gen CTS-V. They're in totally different ballparks.
The one in this thread is not real. If it was, it would have sold virtually instantly due to the incompetence of the seller in pricing.

True. Here is a flood car, with a CEL and an SRS light on, and it STILL SOLD FOR $12k!

So, it's looking like this is the one. Waiting on VIN to make sure everything checks out. According to seller: 1st owner: Female, GA, used it as a DD. 2nd owner (also female) bought it with 65k 5 years ago, and uses as a "vacation/fun" car. Has a Company car, husband has a Company truck. Only bummer: ACCORDING TO HER, they were following a truck in the mountains, something came off, punched through the grill and radiator, and berked up the hood. Hood and bumper have been resprayed. Color seems to match in pics...but they all look good in pics. Very gently suggesting the only other car I was looking at was $13.5k and had the upgraded motor mounts, she came down easily on price. Will need tires soon. Waiting on VIN for carfax.....
