Here is some inspiration.

Supercharged, turbocharged and nitrous'd diesel Mercedes with a ghetto sequential transmission. And it drifts like a monster.

The suspension parts add up fast, and cheap stuff means you just have to do it again in a year or two. If it doesn't have 400k miles it probably doesn't need everything already though. They cost $50k 30+ years ago, and parts still somewhat reflect that, although that are cheaper than you would expect. I think the original list price on om617 pistons was like $400.
