Tonight: finished replacing the LF control arm on Chrissy's Mazda3 after she was hit in a crazy accident last week. On Wed we put in the new Koni FSDs and Eibach pro kit.
We also did more welding on the Lemons Civic.
Saturday: Fixing the trailer with JThw8 as one of the spring perches punched through the deck on this crappy homemade trailer we bought. Fixing it to be able to bring the Lemons car around. Potentially buying another Miata after work.
Sunday: Finishing welding the cage on the Lemons car, painting the cage, installing mounts for the gauge cluster, installing the seats, belts, and oil pressure gauge, then cleaning out the interior. Also need to look at the brakes on the Mazda3 as they are making a weird noise now.
I actually have a rare two-day weekend, so hopefully I can actually accomplish something.
My first thought was to yank the snow-shoes off the beater Miata, but it's Ohio. Gonna wait a bit for that.
The majority of my weekend will be spent at my buddy's shop, finally getting some work done on "The Atomic Hairball".
The main goals are to get the interior cleaned and prepped so it's ready for a coat of roll-on bedliner, and get the old exhaust pulled off.
The rest of the time will be spent getting all the parts organized, so at some point we can actually start putting the damn car back together.

Flushed radiator & fitted a new thermostat to the 626 last night. Tentatively set off for work this morning. Phew! Over-heating problem solved; $700 beater still going strong!

I am headed outside shortly to check the fluids and tires on the SAAB before I drop her off...
It is always sad to say goodbye, but I know that she is headed to a good home
Long may you run, old girl
So far I have walked outside and looked at the cars. They were giving me the evil stink eye so I went to D&D for coffee. I think they are mad at me for ignoring them.
Moxnix are you going to the DC event at summit point?

New 15/16" (24mm) 3-way adjustable RSB for the ZX2 this weekend...
I working on a major garage reorganizing so I can put the cars inside and work on a solid cement floor instead of outside on 3/8" bluestone.
I'm at a very basic level.
Just trying to get the engine on one of my '76 Fiat Spiders to turn over by hand. It's been sitting for 5-7 years before I bought it, so I'm trying to bring it back to life. Just hope to spin it via breaker bar this weekend.
I hope you considered changing the timing belt first.
Building progressive linkage for the tripe 97's. Way too much fuel getting dumped into my tiny little flathead. WOT is not needed with that much CFM, who ever build the motor just cranked everything to MOAR power setting and never looked back.
Going to crank the front and rear carb down at least to 50% max opening and work on getting the secondary's to time right. Also I remove about half the stroke on my acceleration circuit so that I don't shoot flames anymore.

Put the MINI back together after replacing the headers and cat, and chasing down an oil leak (bad oil pressure switch). I should have it back together just in time to watch the snow come down. Boo.
Replacing axle on the SE-R RallyX car, broke it at the event two weeks ago and have been too busy with work until now. Also tighten the new/old alternator belt that broke at that event. It was a mudfest.
Picked up the new to me race car last night. Though it needs a good amount of work before the season starts, I think this weekend is dedicated to the honey-do list. SHWBO, will be far more tolerant if I take the 30 minutes to finish up the trim work in the kitchen. I have no garage, and my driveway is a mud pit at the moment, so it's probably the wise move.

start fabrication/installation of my subframe connector into the pinto.
I intended to finish the Pertronix electronic ignition upgrade on the Opel GT today. Installed it during the holidays but ran badly after, couldn't figure out why. Then Family came during the holidays, I had a couple business trips and got tendonitis in my shoulder and was restricted from heavy work, besides it being colder this year in my unheated garage. Been doing some research and talked with the Opel speciality parts store and got directions. Went out today to work on it and reread the instructions, it said something about a clear insulated resistor wire to the coil and if it doesn't have that a ballast resistor is needed. Don't have the resistor wire so went and ordered a ballast resistor. Instructions say one from a 70's Chrysler V8 will work. Will be here Wed. So I cleaned out the garage and can finally see my next project - 63 MG Midget and finished putting drawer liners in my new toolbox. Almost got a space cleared for it. Next is to clear off my industrial sewing machine, I need to use it. Project for tomorrow.

Not a freaking thing. After Wednesday night's marathon slave cylinder swap on my buddies Sonoma with tools like this:
Every General Motors product I work on needs this tool. Same tool I used to pull the starter on the wife's Trailblazer. "Through the fender well" is the easy way.
I'm going to try to fix the persistent code 52 (knock sensor open circuit) on my 3vze Toyota. I'm really hoping that replacing my current knock sensor wire with a ground shielded wire fixes it because it is getting pretty annoying. The truck is sloooooooooooooooooow!

Free advice - don't try to turn it over by hand with it in gear. I spent 45 minutes trying to figure why I couldn't turn the 951 over by hand (had to get to TDC #1 for timing belt job) before my brain engaged. I took the hint and walked away after I got it lined up, to be completed tomorrow.

What a friggin mess that was. I can honestly say that its stronger than its ever been but it was one rube goldberg bit of patchwork to get it all back together.
This is more of a "what I need to do in the next week or two" list. Today I worked a few hours and went for a ride on the bike.

Well, I never had weekends off, but the Camaro is getting a fuel pump, oil change, trans filter & fluid change, and new rear shocks, when I actually have time.

Yeah look for the red RX-7 (not that you see that many RX-7's out there to begin with).

I was planning on putting the new head on the Volvo this weekend. I bought a 531 head, RSI cam, full gasket kit... But the 531 head that was supposed to be car-ready turned out not to be. So I am suck for the moment. I'm considering bolting the old 530 head back on the car, but then I'll have to repeat this entire exercise when I get the 531 head finished, and I don't really need the car right away...
AC recharge in my Jeep and cabin filter replacement in the wife's car.
