Yea, location listed and an option to filter by location would be nice. Cool idea though.
also, this ^ - you cant tell where the car is until you click through. It would be great to filter all results so youre looking only at a specific area/City
Working on this using custom fields. This will require some coding on the website theme itself to display in a meaningful manner.
However, in the meantime, I've added a Search feature. If you want to see the coolest cars, just type "Atlanta" and click search.
It works for any word, so you can quickly get to what you are looking for.
Kind of a silly thing but could you bold the price? It is how my brain works. I look at the photo then look for a price. I like that it is in the price is in the same location in every description!!! Very well done site!!!!
Oh, freaking bent valves, this is the last sort of thing I needed.
Still working on the final version of the site based on your feedback, but it is now 100% better with an actual logo...
This car is killing me!!!! http://www.craigscarlust.org/?p=77

nice logo!
For some reason when I've tried to do submissions, when I hit the submit button, the button grey's out, but then it just sits on that page. Is it supposed to go to another page?...or give some kind of confirmation?
It may just be my work's IE interface, as alot of the internets is hit or miss.
It should give a confirmation message. I am about 6 submissions behind right now, trying to get some things done in my day job to get those updated in the next little bit.

Yep. Me too. At least it's too far away for me to feasibly purchase and bring home.
Then again, I wonder how good of a daily driver that would make...

What makes the GRM "CL Finds of the Day" posts so interesting is the eclectic nature of the GRM community (I say that in a good way... :) But, what happens when your typical VW Vortex user or Jalopnik'er gets ahold of it? I think it would be a neater tool if it maintains some semblence of all the really odd junk (err.. I mean gold) that's on CL.
I agree completely. I don't want this site to replace every classified section on these other sites. That's why I am managing the submissions manually, the quality of them is what is important (not the quantity).
So with that in mind, I think I am ready to open the site up to a wider audience. I'm thinking SCCA / NASA type communities. Any suggestions?
This new site is very, very bad. It could ruin budgets and marriages across the land. It shamelessly fuels automotive ADD. Because of stuff like this:

i submitted the 1975 Datsun :) it's not mine, but I want it in the worst way.
The most requested featured has been added. Now showing the location on the main page...
Also, please share with your friends... more people = more / better cars! Thanks!

I want this really badly and don't understand why...
Good thing it's halfway across the country. Great site by the way.

The best part of this picture is the background... seriously, is the car in someone's house? Or do they live in the garage? Either way, it rates high on the awesome scale.
