Backstory is from 2001-2007 I was hardcore into Turbo Fords, specifically the Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. I've owned over 50 of them (no lie) and even had a decent garage business making parts for them that I sold to a guy in Connecticut.
There's an 87 TC for sale that's an auto-to-T5 manual swap (so still has 3.73 rear end) with a T3, 3" exhaust, and other mods with power sunroof (which I love) for $1850...
I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car. I don't need another car.
Yes you do need another car.

Really? Stop you? You've come to the wrong place to get such advice.
If a similar XR4 came up for sale local to me... I’d have a hard time saying “no!”
i also really like the aerobirds.
What color is it?
Why would you want a Turbo T-bird? You can't do anything cool with a turbo cou. . .
uh, yeah, so you should totally buy it.
Do it do it do it do it do it do it
doitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoitdoit
Idea: you buy it, have it shipped to me, and I'll keep it safe for you.
It's in Spokane, which is far away, but I have a friend out there that can both look at it and store it for me.
It's Oxford White. (Note - not actual car in question)
Can't wait to see your build thread
Uhh yeah. Wrong place to get dissuaded. Do it

I'm staring at the Cobra in the garage and trying not to tell myself that the drivetrain is the same weight and that a stupid-low, tubular suspension, coilover, FR500-equipped TC with a 32V Romeo 4.6 and a T45 would be way cooler...
In reply to Javelin :
Ok, but then you have to put a turbo on the 4.6. That's just the rules.
In reply to Javelin :
IIRC Antihero lives in Spokane. And Turbo Coupe is never the wrong answer .
I assume you have been active on TurboFord forums? My buddy and I used to get a kick out of the ridiculous parts for trade posts. "I need 42lb injectors. I have 2 used tires and a half gallon of milk for trade."
Those guys were a trip LOL
In reply to stanger_missle :
TurboFord scared me. I was on NATO and foxthundercougarbirds or whatever it was. Dealing with the people is what drove me to sell the business, the headache wasn't worth it. I manufactured replacement decal sets for the center console power window panels and the door lock plates in house and also had a couple of parts contacts where I was able to get the OE Hella foglights direct among other parts.
I have a buddy in Spokane who's into Fords (he has a Falcon coupe and a 1st gen Bronco) who's going to go look at it and store it for me if it's a good car.
Pic I've been saving forever:
I'd do it as long as the shock towers aren't rotted out....
Didn't we both say we wanted to swap our SN95 parts into a Fox once? Well your SN95 parts are better and this Fox is way cooler than what I would have ended up with.

Owned 50+ turbo t-birds?.... how is that even possible?
You came to the wrong place. This isn’t AA.

I’d say it’s closer to AAA in the ability to get projects hauled home.

I owned 3 3rd gen f-bodies and like 5 2nd gen Rams in the space of 2 years without trying very hard, so It's definitely possible.
