Signs that is. Might want to call the engineering department and get the rest of them checked.

Around here we build those things like they're meant to hold up a highway overpass (not exaggerating) so that they won't move in the hurricane force winds. HUGE foundations on each side. I actually thought they were for some kind of bridge when the first one went up.

Required Tacoma Narrows footage, because I'm a nerdy engineer and can't not post it.
I've got this feeling
That time's just holding me down
I'll hit the ceiling or else I'll tear up this town
Tonight I gotta cut
Loose, footloose kick off your Sunday shoes
Please, Louise pull me off a my knees
Jack, get back c'mon before we crack
Lose your blues everybody cut footloose
and to think they remake movies that were in color and had sound???
driving around town the other day and got to a backed up intersection... cops directing traffic...
as we passed though I saw the light in the turning lane had fallen to the ground... knowing how heavy those things are I can't imagine the damage it would do if it landed on a car... in FL we hung those things on poles made to withstand hurricanes... so that was a interesting to see...

I usually show that to my engineering students.
And many of the them are familiar with the fact that the Whitestone Bridge (which is near us here in NJ) was designed by the same guy and is of similar construction. I've been on the Whitestone many times and always think about this.
never seen one of those dance like that.. but I have seen the street signs on a single pole wiggle around enough to go flying... must have been quite a wind that day

I read that Wheatstone Bridge...
Carry on.
A big plexiglass panel fell off the side of a gas station once and nearly hit me right in the head. No wind or anything, it just fell.

Nope, we don't normally get sustained minds over 100 km/h (62 mph) like that storm was reported to have had.
