Hard to find. I found stuff online from radium. After shipping to canada I'll be out 80 Canuck bucks for a 6" hose. 

Nylon will destroy itself within a couple years. Been there done that. Even "fuel rated" nylon hose is only good for fuel on the inside! You'll need to buy special submersible rubber fuel hose. Be warned, the stuff is expensive.

The black stuff I'm considering is the same on the outside as inside.. 

Gates is the only company (I can find) that makes 30R10. spec'ed for submerged fuel line it around $20 per ft.

There is this kit of plastic tubing but its not smooth so flow is definitely non-laminar might not be an issue if low power.

If it’s going to be submerged, you need the (expensive) submersible hose. And in our experience, it’s still a consumable. We just had to replace a chunk that was only a couple of years old. Nylon is an interesting idea if you can attach it properly.

It shouldn’t be as hard to do as it seems to be.

You CAN use nylon line.  However, you MUST ensure that there's no way the pump can move in relation to the top of the sending unit.  OEMs generally used submersible hose or corrugated plastic line for this flexibility factor.

Submersible hose does fail after fifteen or twenty years, too.

I seen that stuff. Im pretty close to that 100psi limit as is.
