Successful Shelter-logic tarp repair ????

My shelter logic cover is getting thin where its tight over some of the metal framing.

There were some msc cover scraps in the box when I got it. I have been trying different glues to see what sticks. So far, no luck.Vinyl pool patch glue, E6000, PVC cement (44% MEK), and the latest is some 3M spray adhesive which I expect to have no luck with.

Has any one successfully found an adhesive to make this stuff stick to itself ? Not looking for 10 year life increase, but through this winter would be nice. 

Will go the duck tape route if necessary. Its not a look thing, I was figuring if I can find an adhesive, it would be stronger.

My original plan was to cover in steel roof panels, but messed up an arm about a month ago lifting a sheet of plywood for another project.

Look at clear awning repair tape from your local RV supplier.

I used red “tuck tape” (as used to seal insulation vapour barrier seams in the home construction industry).  I patched the rip with the tape and a green garbage bag,  when a branch came through my boat shelter.  It's been several years and is still holding.  Your question reminded me of the tear.

I used a product that stuck like no tape I have ever used, it was thick and strong, and held even large holes closed for years.

I'm not kidding, this stuff is amazing. Forget the cheezy TV commercials, everyone should have a roll in their supplies.
