Hey Folks,
Everyone in the road course world is talking about this thing. I saw the specs, read the sales points, and bought one within the first few hours of it being released. I've now used it for three days on track, and here's a review from a racers perspective after spending some time with it.

Anyone here buy one or used one yet? What are your thoughts?

Thanks for posting an in-depth review!
Your experience confirms my suspicions about how Garmin was generating the coaching information. I think this it great tech, and will be of greatest utility to novice-intermediate level HPDE drivers. Honestly, I'm pretty sure that's the market Garmin is targeting.
Curious if you have any thoughts regarding the Garmin's GPS/lap time accuracy/consistency as compared to your dedicated data systems? If it's close, the easy install/removal makes it an attractive package for a dual duty HPDE car.
I sold my Traqmate system to get one of these Garmin Catalysts. My plan is to buy one in the Spring and then run it next season. Hopefully by then they've added a way to do a video/data/audio dump off off it.
