This will be the travel log from Ohio to Gainesville in the 1990 Infiniti Q45.

Last night's final wash.
We are loaded with technology and headed down the road in the lap of luxury.
Just moments after getting on hyw we passed this GT. Too cool.
We were the only two cars on the road. It was like driving in a time warp. Our XM radio antenna was the only giveaway that it was not actually 1990.

A little behind.
We have to be in Charleston WV by 2:00 to pick up a motorcycle (Honda trail 70) that we will be loading into the trunk.
Current eta is 1:35 but we'll make some time.
You've got me beat in mileage, for sure. Only about 700 for me. Good luck, have a fun trip! See you tomorrow!
Looks like you are making better time than me. I'm still sitting around eating lunch at work.
We gave crossed the Ohio River and entered West by God Virginia.

Nice. Very fast shutter speed you are using there, to freeze the wheels.
Into KY, how is the hog loading working out?
I can verify that they made it to Charleston, WV at 1:30. I pointed the to a west side restaurant for BBQ and/or a stabbing. If they don't post again, we'll know what today's special was. Have fun Challenging/condolences to the family.
Honda Trail 70 acquired.

That's alot of junk in the trunk.
Soul food for lunch. Realized too late that I should have taken photos before eating.
Brisket sandwich, greens and sweet potato casserole.
Got stuck in traffic jam on way to lunchlunch. Thanks Obama! No, really, he is here in Chuck town.
Though I live on a country club, my jobs of the last 10 years has me in the hood near daily. Ain't no thang.

He did an excellent job of packing it and sizing down.

Welcome to NC. How does the phrase go? "A valley of humility between 2 mountains of conceit" or something like that.
Picking up a pit bike on the way to the Challenge? Someones doing it right!
At the next stop we pick up the Lincoln Mark VIII
More gas, now 21.1 mpg.
In Columbia, SC
Sounds like things went well. That part of town isn't actually as bad as I made it sound, however many years ago before moving here, I observed the first real prostitute I'd ever witnessed in the wild standing on a corner a few blocks from there.
I have to say that as a Land Rover owner, I've heard about every comment related poor quality and unreliability you can imagine. When coordinating with John for the pickup, after I mentioned that I'd let the Land Rover registration expire back in July and that I was slightly concerned about driving it to work, he said, "Of all the things that make Land Rovers not drivable, registration was not the first thing I thought of." That may well be the funniest thing I've ever heard.
Good luck guys and thanks for the transport.

Lol. Thanks a bunch John and Matt for coordinating all this !!
John, I'll see you at the Challenge ... will be arriving around midnight Friday.
By midnight on Friday I will have already done six autox runs and tons of drag passes with your motorcycle in the trunk.
Safe travels, John, and good luck at the Challenge!!! Hopefully Aussie can pick something up to run.
