Saw some new Jimnys being used as rental vehicles. Won't be a unicorn locally for long, but it'll be a unicorn to you for a good 25 years or so!
They're a good bit wider and longer than a Samurai, with a good bit more wheelbase too, perhaps unfortunately...still less wheelbase than a LWB sammy.
Spotted as i was leaving lunch.
Is a first gen MR2 a unicorn in the rust belt now? The past 2 Monday evenings I have seen the same white one with NJ plates cross into PA at Riegelsville 7:00 pm, and cross back to NJ at around 10. Next Monday eve. I am going to bring my camera.

At least! Maybe outside of the rust belt too.

Saw a TR7 coupe moving under its own power. Haven't seen one outside of a car show in years.
Would you just look at this thing! They made a Corsica Aerosedan?
And look at how clean this thing is! It's someone's DD up here in Michigan. I'm impressed.
A Datsun 240z isn't an unicorn. A nice clean 11,000 mile one is.
In reply to Stampie :
there's a suspicious amount of old or performance stuff in that pic. does a cars and coffee type meet count in the unicorn thread?
In reply to nutherjrfan :
Actually that's a local shop here in Jacksonville. They were working on the 240z but most of the background is for sale. We bought a M20 and trans from the owner.
I just bought a unicorn (or is it an unicorn?):

Bedford TK - The British used to have military bases here in Canada - likely the source of this one.
Guy who runs the local gas station just picked up a supercharged AWD Subaru Sambar...Miata for scale.
Pair of Bentleys heading to the grocery store.
^Looks like somebody's out of Grey Poupon
The Bentleys were just cool, this is the unicorn.
Peugeot 505 Diesel....running.
Sorry for the bad picture, it's the small brown blob.

I see the ever present smoke cloud....

Give me a call if you have any trouble getting parts
I saw a Crosley coming towards me on my way home today. It was so small I thought it was a Vespa Ape.

I saw an FJ45 that looked surprisingly clean. As I drove past I noticed a little lizard on it. People around here have money I guess.
Yes, a Gladiator in the wild.
I’ve been seeing a lot of them disguised on I75, look good to me!
A car hauler completely packed with 80s generic-box midsize and fullsize cars, complete with enough dust that they looked like they sat in a barn for thirty years, headed north on I-71 just north of Columbus. Mostly sedans but also a few wagons.
I would imagine that is what it would look like if someone bought an abandoned dealership. Cars looked complete and in great shape aside from all the dust.
Saw a first generation SEAT Leon at the gas station yesterday in northern Georgia, with Sonora license plates. Long drive from Mexico.
