Hard to see but this Ridgeline is doing actual truck stuff. Enough gravel in the back I think he was on his bump stops.
Pyro would say "What is special about that?". Hers has done things like drag a 50 horse tractor out of the pond I almost rolled it into, uh, I mean... Oh well.
So, Vette cart...
This was a no title C4 that he used the engine and trans out of for an e34 . Don’t let anything go to waste right?
Guy said he just picked it up as a daily. Not too many Scamps scampering around these days.
I had a 75 scamp, tan/sand colored with a black vinyl roof in high school.
I commuted 50 miles, each way, in a '72 Valiant Scamp back in the mid-'80s. Slant-6 and automatic. It suffered from lack of maintenance before I got it. I forget how frequently I had to fill it up with gas, but I added a quart of oil 2 out of every 3 days... Replaced it with my first Honda in '88 or so. ($350 and I drove it home.)

I spent most of the morning trying to find the episode of Initial D where they raced against a GTS-T and there was the comment that the rear drive car was a "real driver's car".

Saw one of these babies at edgewater the other night putting down some good times. Amazing how many folks don’t know what they are.
not it so much a unicorn, but the conditions it was in. Looks to be a GT model from the trumpet exhaust. My convertible is pretty sorted but I don’t trust the top to hold out water in light rain conditions much less the downpour this was in.

A few weeks ago, a friend of mine asked if I wanted to go to a weird meet with him. You see... His first car was a Beretta, and while I've always thought the Beretta was kind of quirky/retro cool, I didn't realize that they still have a fairly respectable following. Given that these cars are nearly extinct now, I'd consider every one of them to be a unicorn. I now bring you... Berettafest:
The Corsica had a rebuilt Quad 4/manual swapped into it and gets autocrossed and tracked. The owned was a nice guy and really enjoyed talking to him about the car.
This was likely my favorite car there: Geoff's Beretta with a turbocharged 3400 and a Quaife diff
A very clean stock-appearing GTU:
You get the gist of it. It was cool seeing people geek out over cars that I don't know a ton about. I'm used to being the weirdo doing that to others.
Saw this at Lowes the other day.

Why would someone put Skoda badges on a Festiva?

Okay, I'll bite. What is it?
In reply to Rodan :
Ashamed to drive a Korean Ford perhaps? I can see where the original badge was removed from the hatch.

Glad I'm not the only one that doesn't know
R32 Skyline. Looks like a GTS-T but I’m not well versed in these.

Was it a local event, or did it attract Beretta fans from all over the country?

This was their national meet.

Maybe these are normal for Columbia Missouri, where I was taking a break from a road trip, but they seemed like unicorns to me. A street-driven dune buggy, and a slightly worn-out looking first-gen Lightning.
That is hilarious as I was looking at these and thought, I know that Lightning! Welcome to Columbia... last week.
In reply to Powar :
I can't remember the last time I saw one of those cars on the road.
I have no idea what this was, but it was cool:
Looks like a Ranger cab with Jeep stuff grafted onto the front and some variety of 70s flareside truck bed and possibly trailer fenders.

Last night up in Woodstock I saw not one but two Mitsu Delica 4x4s. One on the road (with his high beams on, which was most annoying), and one parked with a For Sale sign on the windshield.
I also saw several septuagenarian hippies and a couple of people protesting something I never heard of, but that's pretty much normal in Woodstock.
