I was quite excited to find this one. I figured the owner was the one wearing the Hakosuka shirt inside.
Nice SS showed up to our Saturday morning outlaw coffee meet.
Also, one of the guys in the group finally got his GT500...
I had my car in for some service at my local independent German car repair shop, and there were a couple interesting Mercedes- Benzes there. One was a 190 2.3-16 Cosworth, the other was a Koenigs Special twin turbocharged 500 SEC - just like this one. Talk about 1980s excess.

Not sure if these count as unicorns or better in the Radwood thread, but this small used car lot by me has 3 Capri's on the lot. I can't remember the last time I saw one of these driving around.
Teh E36 M3 said:I grew up on the Central Coast of CA- played soccer with Ernie Ball's grandson, and I remember Ernie used to drive a blue Dakota convertible. Even in the late 80's/early 90's thinking that was really weird. Then again, having a toyota regular cab, short bed 22r with a shell was the cool ride (unless you were rich like another dude I went to school with- the son of Copeland's sporting goods, who got the Marty McFly truck for his 16th b-day).
My brother went to Cal Poly. While he was there he got into building guitars. He went to a local music shop to ask about fret spacing or something. The guy gave him an address and said ask for Ernie...

I see a lot of town cops with Mustangs(one with a Challenger!) in NC, but I've not seen a Trooper with one.
Yesterday morning, driving to work about 630am, I saw some kind of giant 1920-30s looking sports car driving in downtown Cleveland. Big long hood, wire wheels, cycle fenders, it looked pretty ratty/survivorish, not restored. Something like this, but yellow:

Here is a photo of hte very same BNC taken in 1949 by my father. As you can see, it is tiny, unlike what you saw in Ohio.
No pics but saw a Indy pace car edition Dodge Stealth today. I can’t actually remember the last time I saw a Stealth in the wild.
Mrs Sarcastic and I were taking in an evening stroll tonight in Waikiki and I spotted a couple of choice 80’s Toyota trucks, first this minty looking 60 series Land Cruiser. Bonus points for the steel wheels and poverty caps.
And less than a block away this first gen 4Runner, also sporting plain steel wheels and dressed in Ivan “Iron Man” Stewart livery no less!
T’was a good day for car-spotting for sure. \m/
