What is it?
Found this parked outside the local Fastenal.
Some other sightings that I wasn't able to get pictures of - saw a '80s Toyota van, an early '80s Datsun 200SX (before the flip up headlights), and a Mk II Toyota Supra, all headed the same way on the same stretch of road, each about a mile apart.
Caught this nice Alfa on my way to Honolulu today.
It's rare to see classics out on a weekday cruise here, but classic Italian roadsters even more so. My picture does not do it justice.
I live in an area that is getting increasingly grey with retirees. In a friends HOA, I know of a Factory Five Cobra Daytona with a Roush engine, at 72 Monte Carlo 454, a matching square body Chevy pickup owned by the Monte owner, and ratty 67 Impala fastback, and a original Shelby 427 side oiler Cobra. The guy with the Cobra told me he towed it out of a ditch in 1969 after a fatal accident. At the time, the law where he lived said if you towed it and it went unclaimed for 30 days, you could pay a fee and own it. He fixed it, drove it for awhile, and then realized the value and uses it for a toy. I would guess he's in his 80's now.
Buying fuel at Sunoco after work, I hear the whine long before I see it.
'77ish Maverick coupe, with skinnies up front and as-big-as-fits-without-tubs (26x10?) in the back. Beautifully well done, light blue color. Did not see the engine but there was a 6-71 or thereabouts sticking well above where the hood would have been, and with the street rod mandatory Huge Gilmer Drive.
The Pete that grew up on 80s Car Craft magazines had a cargasm.

Little cars with big blowers are awesome!
There's a '32 Ford that runs around these parts with a blower that's louder than the engine under normal driving conditions. If the driver decides to get rowdy, mostly you just hear everything scream- the blower, the engine, the tires... it's gloriously noisy.
I don't see large recovery vehicles where I live and this bad boy is about the biggest I've ever seen. I was impressed seeing it turn with the twin steering axles. What the hell is he here to recover!?
My indy repair shop sponsored a car get together at a local brewery tonight. There were some interesting exotics there - a couple late model Lamborghinis, a couple Ferraris, a Porsche GT3 RS and even a McLaren 720S painted in Gulf colors. However, they were all second fiddle to a Ferrari 250SWB...
I didn't bring a camera but this is a photo of that very car, serial number 2291.
Eldorado Bigfoot edition
About as stable as you can be in the cab of a c5500 on michigan roads it seems...
C6 GS probably isn't that much of a unicorn but this is the first C6 in general I've seen in person in Jet Stream Blue. Which is definitely my favorite C6 color.
Another probably more common vehicle, but for context this was rust free and minty in the middle of Ohio.
