Yes, I agree, different is good (...says the person trying to make a street rod out of appliances). OTOH, the only elan I've seen run an autocross broke very badly.

(Oh, and the answer to the first question - and this is probably why Per chose those cars - is obviously this cavalier )

Miata, since I barely it in one. The Élan, not so much. Stuffing a V8 in an Élan is likely much harder as well.

Is this GM's front wheel drive Elan, or the good one?

I had always thought that their IndyCar coverage needed help. But now that they are NBC Sports, I'm hoping that the corporate elevation will help bring some real employees to the races.

The simple coverage of Dakar rocked. And I thought Vs. did a great job on it, considering the scope of the race.

For other sports- I had thought Vs did a good job with biking, and Hockey improved a LOT. Although, the best hockey improvement came after the change to NBC Sports.

With the coverage on the NASCAR channel, we can hope that between the former Vs. (now NBC Sports) and the former HD Network (now Velocity), we can have some really good alternatives for motorsports.

I was ok with Outdoor Life/ OLN, Vs. just brought a different kind of sports, and that was a good thing.

Vs. is dead, long Live Vs. Keep expanding NBC.

Vs. also had the best Tour De France coverage I've ever seen. That was the first I'd seen of the network, and they hit a home run.

Ok, sooo..... because the best two VS threads were apparently deleted....

GN and Supra... The only logical outcome.

There was never an outcome. I believe it was an inevitable situation.

IT's probably best those two got deleted. Somehow, I didn't see either of them ending well.

That quickly? Yesterday at 5PM PST they were both completely civil and rather interesting. The SC vs GN thread on the other hand...

People hadn't eaten their Friday berkeleyery oatmeal yet. I probably woulda gotten salty in a hurry. I tend to cause trouble on Fridays, it helps me avoid work.
