It took way longer than I had hoped it would! I set it to take a picture every 1 minute - next time every 30 seconds will probably be better - also more detail/lighting on what I'm actually working on.
The new style spider injector is way nicer!
Good musical choice Fun video/timelapse!
So what was the old system doing and what kind of an improvement have you seen with the new setup? Cost?
I have a similar suburban so inquiring minds want to know.
good lord that looked like a lot of work.

What did you use to make the time lapse?
I changes mine on my 2001 GMC van, it did not cure the bad plug wires. The best part of it is now you don't have to maintain a 58 psi of fuel pressure to have it start.
I told my self if the fuel pressure drops to 55 psi one more time I'll scrap the poppet valves. I'm not sure my fuel pressure ever did drop, but I did get rid of the poppets.
If anything it starts better and cruised with a little less throttle.

Thanks! I just ordered this, but the installation was on Memorial Day weekend - so nothing I've noticed anything yet - supposedly it's just smoother running and better fuel economy (apparently one of the comments says it helps with the fuel pressure starting issues as well). I did it preemptively as I wanted to do the lower intake manifold gaskets and it was a "while I'm in there" kind of a thing. If you're doing "just" the spider injector it's a lot less work as you don't have to remove the lower intake manifold or drain the coolant if you don't want to!
Here's the old one

I'm glad it looked that way because it was a terrific amount of effort, lol.

A GoPro Hero2 on a tripod with a hole drilled in the case for the power supply. Then I squished the pictures together with a program called ffmpeg and added the music in the YouTube editor.

That's awesome! I had heard it helped mpg, etc.
