Tire shaving

I'm in triangle area of NC. Is there a good place to get tires shaved or do you get them done when buying through Tire Rack or somewhere similar?

I've had Tire Rack shave tires for me when having to replace one of a partially worn set for my Subaru - much cheaper to get one shaved to the same tread depth as the others if you have an unrepairable flat than to have to buy a set of four for an AWD car.  Fast, accurate.  I never had my race tires shaved, but I know lots of people who had this done regularly with good results.

When I was still racing I just had Tire Rack shave and heat cycle the tires.

We've had Tire Rack, Discount Tire Direct and a local tire shop all shave tires.

Call around to some local tire shops. Many of them can shave tires.

Most large truck shops have the equipment or anyplace that does retread work.
