The nut on the handle of my Crapsman torque wrench came loose. They have a 90 day warranty that's long gone (and it looks it). Does anyone know how to test it or of someplace that will repair it?

Any calibration house can do it, but its $50-$100.

Its possible to "do the math" and DIY. Hold the head fixed & apply known weight on the handle (and figure out what ft-lb you're applying).

I have a torque screwdriver I need to do that to. Maybe some vice grips on it, string, sack of flour. Humm.

Digital force gauge or fish scale will work. Just apply X load 18" from head, multiply by 1.5X & there is your torque.
