I'm still annoyed that they actually call these engines 'Mod Motors' when there's nothing modular about them. LOL
Great swap sir!! I have a 2000 P71 that I'm salivating over swapping in the new 5.0 and a 6-speed. Just need the cash.

picking nits, i would say "a few" instead of "plenty"...
In my case, I want to do things in stages. Also, I was able to find a very very low mileage(15k) and relatively young('05) N/A 5.4 for only $700. This seemed like a better starting point than a lightning engine that has a higher likelihood of being beaten.
I want to address how poorly the stock heads flow next. They're worse than I would have guessed.
If I'm still not satisfied I will move on to forced induction, but then we've got a new set of worries and questionable practicality to deal with.

Haha good point.

They're modular... for the factory, not for you!

Yes. I sold the car in late 2011 to pay for a new roof on my house.
The new owner is one of my neighbors. He's been daily driving it this whole time. Today he came by, and informed me the intake manifold gasket was leaking. He changed it himself. While doing so, he noticed I had installed one of the fuel injectors upside down. Whaaaaat?? How did it even...??!! I don't.....
