It would have been fast enough to kill me in a wreck. It handled great getting pulled down the ditch at 40mph. After someone buys this, the next improved one will be a kit car. This was my 1980 college Structural Engineering 101 and
Stick Welding 101 class project with the left over stuff from my Super Duper Volvo 1800e project. I always wanted to build a parachute attached to the rear and drop it from a 150' crane just to see what if.

lol, yep, it's what was in the steel scrap pile. (edit: and with E7018 (I think) low hydrogen welding rod, was perfectly capable of doing it's job.)

Nice welds! And I'll bet the frame is berkeleyin' rigid! I'm not sure I've ever seen that much triangulation in a single chassis before! It actually drove and E36 M3?

No pan, but if I could get that to Alabama, I'd have way cooler plans for that that rear top profile is perfect! 
The killer of such body shells like the above is finding a windshield. Ad says "have windows" - hopefully that's not just the side ones. Lexan could be used, but scratches easily and isn't legal in many (most... all?) areas.
