As a former working feature news print journalist who quit the field quite early, let me tell you, it can be hard to find something to write about.

I've always thought auto journalism is a specialized sector, and there are parts of it where the editors/publishers are trying to rely on the non-enthusiast car buying public as readers. Once you get past new car reviews, top-ten lists, and price quote/valuation services, it gets pretty hard to grab eyeballs.

I got a Versa for my last rental car - the base model with no power options and a CVT.

It was teh suck, as the kids say.

I do some blogging for fun for a small auto site and completely agree with this. Trying to come up with something interesting to write about is a freaking nightmare sometimes. Half the time it isn't worth the headache to bother as I only get like $10 an article, max.
