A friend and his wife bought an old farm house in central PA. One the property is a barn. The previous owner was renting space to a guy who collected old race car parts. He stopped paying rent for the space some years ago and never picked up the stuff in the barn. Now said parts are my friend's problem. My thought: clean them up a bit, take some pictures, toss the whole bundle on Bring a Trailer with no reserve. He snapped a few pictures. Some of them look like old BMW Can Am parts?
I googled Justin Frick and he is/was a vintage racer, although none of these parts look like any of the images of cars he's raced.

I'm thinking those yellow parts standing up in the back of the second picture might be a Shelby CanAm body.
Whatever the rest is there is some cool wall art for a shop for sure.
I would love to have that Porsche nose hanging in my garage!
I think if it was clear what the parts actually ARE it would help the BAT price a bunch. Why not lay them out on the yard in something like "assembled" order and take a few pics?

This is just an exploratory post. He took these pictures on a whim and sent them to a couple of friends who have more interest in vintage racing than he does. I mentioned I could post them to the GRM hive and see if anyone recognized them. He said go for it.
He's currently in the process of getting the barn painted, but that is more or less the plan after the painters are finished. I don't think he's all that concerned about getting top $ for the stuff. His plans for the space don't really include a bunch of old sports car parts (that aren't Triumph) hanging from the walls.
Woody - do you know what that Porsche nose is? It doesn't have the same openings as any 550, Speedster or any other vintage P-car images I can find.
Seeing the HSR sticker on the BMW bodywork, it’s most likely a 2.0L BMW powered Sports Racer, as BMW never had a Can-Am car. The yellow bodywork is probably either another 2.0L Sports Racer of some sort, or maybe a S2000 Sports Racer. 2.0L SR’s are popular in Europe, and S2000 is a SCCA class using a Ford 2.0L
That front piece looks Porsche-ish to me. I initially thought 356 but it looks a tad wrong for that in the picture.
Check the barn for the rest of James Dean's 550 Spyder?

Contact Vic Skirmants about the Porsche nose. He's a long time Porsche racer/restorer. If he doesn't know what it's from no one will.
I forwarded the pictures to a couple of racer friends of mine to see if they might recognize any of this. One of them owns an S2000 of some type.

It's a T6 nose, so either 356 B or C, and it looks pretty lumpy. Unless it's aluminum (looks like it's steel), it's not super special.

I looked at the home page photo of 356Enterprises (Vic Skirmants) and that nose looks like the 356 in the photo to me.

Cool. I've passed this info along to him. He has a ton of other projects and tasks to do to the barn, but eventually he will work on clearing this stuff out. This is all in the upper (3rd story) part, and he has only been up there a few times since he bought the place a few months ago.
Nose is a 356 B or C and I think more a T6 later model which has a "square" nose on the front hood.
The yellow pieces look thick like they are molds , as does the front nose leaning against the wall.
Hopefully there is more stuff :)
