Ok I was cursing the web and found a neat looking car the Volvo 480 turbo and was wondering if any ever made it here to the states as they looked good to me.

Just wondering

Nope. Never sold here, although I've heard a couple of grey market cars have snuck in over the years.

They were about 90 days short of being intro'd into the US when management figured the EPA DOT certs plus the training plus the parts inventory meant the car would be a loss. Saw one at Volvo HQ in New Jersey, nice looking car. The ones that came over were supposed to be crushed.

That is sad it here that close as they sound like fun cars and I found one (E-bay) in the U.K that sold for something like 500 pounds , maybe $1200 u.s

The evolutionary missing link between the P1800ES and the C30.

I seem to remember there was some Renault connection with these, and they were fwd.

The 360 is a much more interesting car, to me anyways.
