Love that body style!
He put the ECU in plexiglass?...
The ECU thing plus the hot air intake are two strikes in my book but I still dig it.
Regarding that price; he needs to have some stern words with his dealer 'cuz I assume there was a little something extra slipped into his last bag!
The auto- is -tragic, but I think the price is not bad if the body is as amazing as it looks in the tiny pics. That's impossible to say until you're there poking it with a stick, but these in rust free condition are far from a common thing.
The interior makes my pants fit funny. I wonder if that was the original color combo though. I had an 87 that was red on red for 30 seconds, but I don't remember ever seeing white/red...then again, I was 3 years old when that car was built. Maybe that was the Corvette of Civic wagons.
I had one exactly like that last year. 23k original miles. Zero rust. Was going to put a z6 in it..... But it was too clean for me to hack up.
I'd pay half that. But my 1981 Civic 1500DX turned me on to small, light cars. That thing was incredibly tossable.
It seems to me that I've seen the silver/red combo before so it might be original. I think you should buy it and manual swap it. Offer him $1650 for it. ;-)

Oh berkeley, it's silver!? Definitely want a little more now. (looks white in the phone.) Damn. The autotragic is a total bummer though. I don't need another project.
That sure looks in nice shape. The auto is a shame but I bet the power to weight ratio makes it not too awful.
