Build a few of these. They look like an easy project.

Down here in the land of golf cart grocery buying, I kind of wonder if I should build one of these for some dumb fun on quick errands.

Corrected that for you.
Except it won't hold much more than one six pack, why wouldn't you? What is the body made of, or is it a kit?

Problem is the rest of the idiots on the road.
Still, down to the gas station to get a can of gas for the mower would be cool. Could always put a mini-rumble seat on the back for storage.
I drive a minivan, wear flannel and rock out to Steely Dan...I am already the coolest dad on the block.

Not that much simpler.
Sorry, I became the coolest dad on the block when the fire department showed up after one of my christmas tree fires.
Don't ask about the time the cops showed up...
However, those ARE super cool!

If you're skilled enough to build a cycle kart from a drum you're skilled enough to build a matching trailer to hold the groceries.................or, fill with ice and hold the beer.

So tempted by these... but I'd need a group of other idiots to join me. It be no fun to have the only one locally.

You're pretty local. I'm sure some others could be enabled as well. I already have an event for a charitable event involving them.
You may be a cool dad but you'll never be as cool as Bruce McLaren picking up his kid from school in an M6GT!

Tell me more. I'd be up to build one this spring.
GRM Mid Atlantic Gentleman's cycle car shootout?
In reply to Saron81 :
I'm about 2 hours south of you guys, but building a cyclecart is on my ~2-3 year plan. There's at least one other person in town planning to build one, possibly 2-3 more. Also, I recently purchased some land between Richmond and Fredricksburg, VA, and the dirtbike trails could easily be re-purposed......

You are a 5 star enabler :)
I hope you do it

Have not seen one started from a drum... and with the matching trailer - new rabbit hole!!!

If mid Atlantic can be as far south as Richmond, I'll make it up for that. At least the jalopy class... "gentleman" class may not accept my kind!
You'll need to log in to post.
