The TETRIS garage. I have one too. "Gotta move the crash cart with all the 2.2 engine parts on it to get to the shelf with the brake fluid on it, then move the ..." and so on.
Tetris is where I'm at right now. I've got stuff moved around... but now I have to make sure this configuration will actually work - e.g. leave me enough room to work on a car. Right now it looks really tight and I may have to re-think some things. Crap.
On the plus side, with the lift now in the back of the garage I should be able to get rid of the second set of ramps, which will make general parking a whole lot easier.
"Sliding Puzzle" was the game I was thinking off: where you need to move 7 things first before you can move one thing to where you want it.
Went for a test drive with the camera on the roof. At least it was the camera my wife wanted to replace.

I went to advanced autoparts to have them look up the sizes of the cylinders in the brake calipers of a 1990 dodge dakota. they said they didn't have any way to do that
Used my project as an excuse to get out of helping in-laws paint a nursery.
Picked up some industrial grade steel coating similar to brush on undercoating. This stuff should do the trick over my welds on the floor panel.
I've been cleaning out my garage this weekend, and listing stuff I am getting sick of tripping over and moving on eBay. I also fixed my bench grinder, which loosened up both wheels on me, and used it to strip all the old paint and surface rust on the filler neck of my CSX. I then painted it with undercoating so it will hopefully never rust again, as it's made of pure unobtanium.
I've realized that I haven't spent nearly enough time in my garage lately. I need to get out there a lot more.

Well... step one of the garage reorganization project is complete. Not quite what I hoped for, but it'll do for now. I still have a crap-ton of general cleaning and straightening up to do. Garage life will be better when I can finally get the washer and dryer out of there and into the basement. The real test will be when I get either the VW or the BMW inside to work on and I see how much room I really have to work. Unfortunately, things look tight even with the Mini back there...
I used my project car as a giant coaster. Trying to get the shop put together takes priority over the car right now, so I just set my beer on whatever piece of the car is closest to where I'm working.
But the shop is getting closer to being a place where I want to be to actually work on the car.

got an email confirming that my brake components had shipped....
Brushed on undercoating... Then thinned it with tuleune and ruined 3 hand pump spray tips finishing spraying the non brush able spots. I threw them in the garbage but it came out great.
Then I began fiberglass coating the floorboards over my newly welded in floor pans. The Met has a subframe. I've heard that nearly all Met owners do this to stiffen the car and improve handling and sound deadening but they pay up to a grand to get it done.
I on the other hand bought 3 gallons of kitty hair and have a little bit of fiberglass experience sooo... Being cheap I now have a lot of fiberglass experience. Just did the bulk last night. Try to finish corners tomorrow.
My youngest was home with pink eye so we brought in the last of the old oil. 35 gallons recycled, about half a jug left. When the garbage goes out this morning that will be the rest of the stuff that needs to be thrown away. Feels good.
Replaced the transmission support bushing, the rear brake hose, and the fuel filler neck-tank hose on the Volvo 122 we're running at the AA this weekend in Joisey. Also did an oil change, bled the brakes and clutch, tightened the valve cover and oil pan bolts, shimmed the driveshaft center support bearing, and fixed the floppy driver's side fender.
And I realized I desperately need to sweep out my shop. My clothes are covered in dirt just from laying on the floor.
I have the battery for the Z hooked up to the charger. I really want to get this thing running in time for next Saturday's Cars & Coffee!
Went and fired up the diesel... Filled one of the empty tanks with $40 of diesel. Drove to the tire store and got 4 used P265/75R16's, in place of the dry rotted and cord showing LT235/85R16E's, mounted and balanced. Then I drove home. All this on no insurance and plates. It is just yard art.
Found out my torque converter cut and clean and transmission swap is complete and only cost $300 total. Arranged a ride to go pick up the F100 with its newly insured 700hp trans and stage 4 broader performance valve body.
Then taking the wife out to eat in it and going to try to make her chuck it back up in an empty parking lot.
Flushed the block and painted the new water pump on the wagon. Washed the 911 and cut out new magnetic numbers for the PCA autocross on Sunday. Packed 8 tires into the 2 for rallycross in NOLA tomorrow. My son and I are heading over as soon as school lets out.
Took F100 to work then grocery shopping and to Dairy Queen. The window girl was not impressed with my cam shaking the entire building...
Them came home. Changed.
Am 5hrs deep on finishing undercoat. Fiberglass. Wife glasses the passenger side. I did driver side because it had more to work around and more of my crappy welds. Removed rear window to fix rust removed rear bumper and tail lights and have been pulling trim ever since.
Now I'm eating a chicken sandwich and heading back out.

Project is starting a business. Progress today was prepping a KLR for one of our prototype headlight brackets.
Repacked the new front hubs for the Miata. Broke one of the ball retaining rings so hopefully I can salvage one from the old hubs.
Been cleaning up the '81 Chevy 4X4 PU project for sale soon. It's coming along w/ patience, still can't find all the stashed parts.... might as well order new.
Gawd, I'm gonna hate to put this on CL

With the help of Log Dog I inventoried all the parts I have to get an idea of what I still need. Then I moved it off the lift and let it get some sun.
Put the transmission on twice then dumped the motor in the car.
Then lost a set of Konis.
Seriously. I can't find them.
how does one lose a set of shocks?
I could lose those at my place.
