I put Carquest painted rotors with stop tech sport pads on the 01 legacy. The rotors seemed decent for the price so I'm putting a set of them on the 14 forester this weekend too - with hawk HPS pads. Tire rack had a sale on 'em.

Previously I've run centric, beck-arnley or house brand rotors from advance or the zone. Always good pads though. Never had an issue.

Well I went with the cheap stuff - C-TEK rotors and semi metallic pads. We'll see how they are and how long they last, but for the price it won't take much to satisfy my expectations. Not sure how much longer I am going to keep pumping money into this rig anyways.

+another vote for Centric rotors. I've used them in the past on dd's with great results. I just purchased a set of their rotors and semi metallic pads for both my Lancer and project Ranger. The wife's mkv Jetta has Duralast premium rotors w/ C-Max ceramics front and rear and they seem to do well and keep the wheels much cleaner than the stock pads which I think were metallic.
