A suspension manufacturer wants to use a pic of my car on course in their catalog (I use their suspension and am one of the first to use a new setup of theirs). This one is probably my favorite suggestion. Which one would you think is better if you were putting it in a catalog? This was one of my choices also due to the GRM sticker on the side!
And no jokes about it looking better if it was an STi
color or b/w?
btw, this is the other pic they want to use, which I don't like quite as much but whatever they like is fine with me :)
Could you do the background in bw and the car in color?
here you go....plus some other PS'd fun.
I vote full color. I think BW and some of the other 'shopped options look cool now, but for something long-term like a catalog you (and anyone else reading it) will get tired of it with time.

I like the color pic better than the b&w....and I like the last one the most.
Color here as well, although the last 'shopped one is pretty cool too.

Going around the corner is infinitely cooler than going straight. It's like when the take glory pics of drag cars doing burnouts, you just want to yell "That isn't the point!".
I vote color it shows the GRM sticker best, but if it is a suspension company I can understand why they like the 3rd pic. Shows how flat the car is while cornering.

Color is better.
The pic they like is better also. That side shot is boring.
Color. But with a different background (industrial, maybe) I'd have voted B&W.
the color cornering pic FTW
B&W makes me think "spoiled white girl thinks she's a photographer."
It's good to see an aftermarket company supporting Camrys!

who are you calling Camry????? Don't you know a Corolla when you see it????
(good thing I have about triple the horsepower of a base corolla!)
a couple other cornering shots?
trying my damndest to lift the inside rear
on second thought, this one may be my favorite
oh E36 M3, who put a tire wall here??
definitely a cornering shot. That's kinda the point...
I vote color. And I vote cornering shot. The tension in the cornering shot is what makes it interesting. The pic of the side of the car is nice enough, but there's no interest.
Color for me. The background of the first shot doesn't really have enough contrast to make the B&W pop. You can try to bump the contrast, but I don't think there is enough "interest" in the photo's background to warrant the B&W.
B&W tends to look more pleasing if the subject has large fields of dark and light (like your suby does in that photo) and with a complex and highly contrasting backdrop, For instance, someone's face with a backdrop of dark trees and bright sky.
Here is a photo of me that actually started out as a terrible color snapshot, but it really pops artistic in B&W.
