This is disgusting. As a long time s30,s130,z31 owner, I am appalled. I want to puke. That abomination needs put out of its misery, those engineers and designers need drug behind horses in the hot Arizona sun. And Nissan execs should be required to drive the lowest form of their fleet. I think that's the problem. The execs more than likely don't even drive anymore. They have all but lost touch with the asphalt and gasoline that many of us have flowing in our blood.
As the owner of an s130 and s30 and overall Z enthusiast I have to say if they go this way nissan will go way down in my book.
I love my G35, and other than the need for a back seat I'd have a 350z. I'm a borderline fanboi for the G37 and 370z. But I can't stand anything else Nissan has done for a very long time. This makes me sad.

I actually like it but it should be the next Juke not the next Z. I can't always agree with Nissan but I give them credit for sort of pushing the boundaries versus taking the tried and true path. Look at the Deltawing. No real success yet but they keep developing it. And of course the GTR. The four seat (sort of) super car slayer. I say more power to them.
Certainly this can't be true.
I was hoping for a 400Z. Either a smaller displacement twin turbo V6 (harking back to the 80s when BMW named the turbo 3.5L engine 7series a 745 because the turbo gave the performance of a larger engine), or a high revving 4L V8.
Lots of car companies have had success reintroducing cars that were hits back in the day, with a modern twist. Mustang, Camaro, 500, Mini, etc. A back to it's roots 240z would be a huge hit. Small, light, cheap. Did I mention light? It doesn't need to be a halo car anymore, the GTR does that. Bonus for bringing back the inline 6.
Swear to god... They do this, I'll take "Taliban-esc" actions at Nissan facilities. (Ok, I'm exaggerating) but will NEVER buy a Nissan again. I've already sworn off Honda. My fit goes up for sale as soon as it's paid off.

I thought the 350Z was cool when it came out until I drove one and realized the window sill was at my neck/shoulder instead of my elbow and crossed it off the list. I liked the looks of the G35 coupe when it came out. Other than that, I nearly have to go back until they were sold here as Datsuns to find anything Nissan that interests me. In short, I wouldn't be all that surprised if they turned the Z car into a super juke...or would that be super joke? All vehicles require a higher door height now. It is required because of the new side impact requirements. Hell I'm 6'2" and can barely hang my arm out the window of my subcompact Cruze.
depends on the car … my Mom's '12 Fit and my elbow are fine with each other … my '14 Sonic is very uncomfortable when trying to rest my elbow on the window ledge
A) because it's so narrow
&
B) because it's so high
maybe a '14 Fit would be as bad, but I don't think they've had a redesign in the past 3 yrs
