Looking for a second set of wheels for my Father's '05 Dakota. 4.7 V8, 4x4, 17" wheels.
Q1- Can I "downgrade" to 16" wheels? A look at the fonts show plenty of room between the calipers and the inside of the wheel. I just want to be certain.
Q2- A search on Tire Rack shows all 94+ (New)Dodge 5 lug truck/van/suv wheels to share 5x139mm bolt pattern. Will any of these 5x139 wheels work? Backspacing or offset issues?
I'm just looking for cheap steelies for snow tires.
I thought the Dakota was one of the few "mid-sized" pickups that had 6 lug hubs?

Only thrue the 2nd gen, 3rd gen they went to 5 lug.
The 05-up Dak's use the 5x5.5 BP, just like the Rams and Durangos.
After a quick car-part,com looksie, 16's were standard equipment, with the 17's as optional.
