Where do you all get your helmets? I need an SA2015 or newer helmet to race at the Firm after the Challenge. I would like to not spend a ton but would like to support a company that doesn't suck, so no Amazon. Thanks!

I use Wine Country Motorsports. If you're in Florida, they have shops at Sebring and in Jupiter, FL. They have a location in CO and CA as well.

Helmets are definitely worth trying on.. I make the journey to Sebring and try on the different buckets as some fit certain melons better than others. Worth supporting a local business where you can too!

I ordered a basic Zamp from Summit back whenever the SA2020 spec came out. It's been fine.

"Try it on" is good advice but if you're head is a fairly normal shape and you  want to use it for track day/autox stuff where you won't be wearing it for long stretches of time... meh.

Also I think it was $150 for a basic full face SA 2020. figured, at that price, if I didn't love it I could just keep it as a spare or something.

I will say, measure and follow the sizing chart for each specific manufacturer. I think my noggin fit an L on the Racequip chart and an XL on the Zamp chart or something like that.

I think I bought mine from Speedway. I was just looking for my first helmet for AutoX so I didn't want to spend a ton of money. I'm pretty sure the model I bought was a Zamp RZ-56 in white. According to the sizing guide I was right between two sizes, so I got the smaller one. It fits tight, but it's comfortable enough and the pads have relaxed over time. One complaint: the visor fogs pretty bad when it's down.

When I started autocross, I just bought a cheap Zamp full face from an eBay seller. It might have been the eBay store from Summit.
I was lucky that it fit okay.

As much oval track racing (dirt and asphalt) as there is in Mo., I'd say there's a pretty good chance you have a shop that has helmets within two hours of you.

There are a couple of options in St. Louis I will try to check out. Don't know why that didn't cross my mind.

Solo Performance is in STL as well. 3390 Tree Court Industrial Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63122

I'd call over there and see if they have much of a retail setup. I've only done mail order from them.
