who do we like for color-matched touchup paint?

Mama loves the Saab, so i'm going to patch up a couple rusty spots on the rear quarters.  Question: who do we like for touchup paint on a 13-year-old car?

i found this place but my cheap ass thinks $56 is a little pricey.

I usually go to the  NAPA store in Ypsi. They'll blend and load as many aerosol cans as you want. You just need the OEM paint code.

Merlin.  If you can match paint well on anything either new, old or middle aged, you are a magician.

Depends how picky you are.

Note that some colors fade worse over time than others - for instance, if your car is red chances are the touchup paint won't match unless you get it custom mixed.  Ideal would be to bring a body part (like a gas cap door) into a body shop supply so they can match it.

I run an automotive paint store. If you are on the eastern seaboard, come see me. We can match colors for customers and make spray cans for them. 

Dr. Colorchip has always been a pretty good match.  Any 3 stage paint colors you're never gonna match though.

I've used that on the FR-S' notoriously hard to match Asphalt paint with good results. 

went with automotivetouchup.com based on above recommendations. primer, base, clear, plus a couple packs of wet/dry sandpaper, because one stop shopping.  under $100 shipped, if i can make it come out half decent and mama's happy with the result, it's well worth the money to me.

I've bought paint from them and dr color chip both.  Both are pretty good.  Post the results!  Painting is about controlling variables (cleanliness, prep, priming etc) and patience.  That's why I stink at it:p.

I am currently using the touch u direct brush product on my e30. I can't comment on match since the car was respected so there is no "original" to compare it to. But I will say I am not super impressed with the paint itself. It is a little thin and since my color has flake it isn't setting well for patches with more that one brushstroke. 

My jeep was painted the factory color by Maaco a few owners ago. I bought a spray can of paint from AutomotiveTouchup and it matched up perfectly. Only way you can tell where I sprayed it is the clear coat is different.
