Who lives Near Lexington KY ? - Need help buying a Jaaaaag

Does anyone live south of Lexington KY?

I need help buying this Jaaaag.  Sight unseen is ok, it's a smoking hot deal.  I can Pay-Pal you the $$$ and we can arrange  a time for me to have it towed to your place until I can come trailer it home.

• Interior isn't the best (seats have small pen like pricks. Driver side window needs a new motor and tracking. Sunroof needs a new tracking. Due to improper towing, the oil cooler piping needs replaced. Asking $550, or best offer. It's supercharged and has the best handling I have ever experienced. Thanks for your interest and offers.

You're not that far! Connect with seller, take the rest of the day off work, drive to uhaul and rent a truck plus trailer, drive down, done! Home by midnight.

That depends on condition.  Low buy in would make for an AWESOME Challenge candidate.

Playing with the CL map, it looks like the Jag might be in Brodhead, Kentucky or 1 hr south of central Lexington.  4 Hours away from central Indy.

I doubt this helps, but I'm about 90 miles from Brodhead. You're welcome to have the car dropped here if you can organize it, but I'm unable to assist beyond that because we're currently quarantined with the 'rona. It could sit here for a few weeks if necessary.

I just got a text from the seller, so hopefully something can be worked out.

Here's his response:

"Hi this is Jacob. I'll take pictures of the Jaguar this weekend if you want. It hasn't been driven for a year, but most of the engine works. Just needs an oil cooler installed and maybe a computer reset after that. Thanks for your interest."

Let's hope the important parts work. But hey, $550 supercharged Jaaaaag.  That's $1.34 per horsepower.

I was thinking if it was a 12-cylinder that meant there's at least 4-6 extra, but sadly that's not the case.

Still less than $70 per cylinder. That's a pretty good deal.

I'm not so sure about that.....

I'm the one optimistically chasing this pile of jaaaaag as a potential Challenge car.  Will it run with minimal $$$ repairs?  I hope so.

The words aren't matching the pictures.  Says that driver's side needs motor and track but fails to mention then that the window has been down for a year.  I wonder if the improper towing, which sounds like a tow truck accident, really means, "dragged to a field."  I'm not really sure how the "place got broken into without my knowledge" when the place seems to be outdoors in a field.  If the car was closer and easier to see and analys but from a far distant this looks like a big gamble, even at $500...even at $300.

I say offer $300.  If you can get it to start then strip it down for weight while selling off a couple of grand in parts.  Show up at the Challenge with a $0 car that you can tell the wife paid for the trip.

I'd start at $200 if I had to retrieve it from the field, $100 if they've already drug it back to the driveway since they've probably broken even more E36 M3. 

I would never leave the window open on a car I planned to use for anything more than scrap so I'd bid as such and make sure I could cover myself parting out drivetrain parts.

I never said "hell no.  And I still see $550 value sitting there.  I just need to talk with the seller and determine why it got towed there.  If the engine internals are still intact, I'm gonna get it.
