Seems like the majority of issues with the 5.0 are a result of the emissions crap.
Deleting seems to make most happy with the truck afterwards.

Quick off-subject sidebar: my favourite paramedic tells me that his service and others have gone back to gas ambulances because diesel vibrations don't mix well with modern patient monitors.
