Kids these days....
In reply to Osterkraut:
Caster camber plates stacked on a bunch of nuts held down by some "gold bolts". Looks like they wanted to lower the front of the vehicle or use a better, but longer strut.

And there isn't even any adjustment in those. I love that he's getting called a ricer on a forum called "stanceworks"- that says a lot.
for all the flack one can give the "flush fitment" guys, stanceworks is actually a pretty good forum. They know full well theyre sacrificing soft rides and tire wear for their mods that make the car look slick, but they (by they i mean the regulars, and stuff they post) do it properly, and with an attention to detail. (yeah im a lurker there hehe)
wow, if they were going to all the trouble welding why didn't they just extend the pipe that the strut was mounted on anyways?
Wow, I just checked out that link and totally agree with Brian on that.
That guy just needs a little imparted knowledge. You're supposed to weld all the nuts together. Sheesh, any fool knows that !

yep, weld it to a pipe that fits through the strut hole, then weld the pipe to a plate that bolts into the factory bolt holes from the bottom. Same drop. Cleaner execution.

I'm just saying that if guys who modify their cars to look cool parked call what you've done "rice" you should probably reconsider the choices you made.

LOL!! That would look a lot cooler, but than he'd have to get that 'titanium finish' on it look bling!
Only thing I would worry about is lateral stability. Assuming he has decent sized washers it will probably stance for years like that..
that's actually not nearly as bad as some stuff I've seen. I used to be big into offroading and you should see some of the redneck idiot suspension stuff those guys come up with. There was an epic thread where everyone posted the worst of the worst. If you want to kill some time check it out.

Isn't the Vortex making fun of stanceworks a little pot/kettle?
Can we please start calling it "failure" again instead of "FAIL"? I mean, the kid butchered his car's suspension, why follow suit by butchering your language?

Sure, no prob....

Isn't that the same basic premise that the "hotlink" thread was hatched?
