Just got this one at a good price (for a clean bike with good maintenance history, etc.)
2006 Honda 919
Artsy shot just for fun:
Rode the 919 in to work today. 28 degrees out when I left home, with fog and snow flurries. On the way home, a 30 mph headwind and 25 degrees out. COLD but I still had a damned good time. This bike is SO easy to ride, and so comfortable! There's nothing special about it, but somehow the sum is far, far greater than the parts.
I "have" a Triumph Street Triple that actually belongs to my employer. Great bike (MAN what an engine, even if the water pump is IN the crankcase!), but it's not mine to do with as I wish. With the Honda, it's mine, all mine.
Truth be told, I was in the market for a Speed Triple, but the Honda was more bike per dollar.
Screw you man! I've wanted one of these since launch. Just had too many wrecks and broken bones to justify it to my family. Asphalt black... MMM!!!
Anyway, check out wristtwisters forum. Caters to 919s. At least it did, last time I checked.
There is a buell flyscreen that looks great on that bike and should be available for cheap on eBay. Can't remember the model they came off of. It will make more of a difference to the comfort then you would think.
Great looking bike by the way.
A neighbor around the corner has a kind of lime green one. I always gawk. Good looking bike. Very good looking.
Do/did they make something similar in more like a 600 size? Because that would be more my size/style/speed

They made a 599. Unfortunately, it was in the same class as the SV650.
