That's a relief! Looking at it in its current "adjustment" is making my head hurt.
Picked up this Guzzi last weekend. The plan is a mild cafe build that can also make a long haul without killing me.
Very jealous!!! I'd love a V50 like that. Back in 85 an Ey-talin friend almost bought a brand new - I think T5 at the time . I did not like the style at all at the time, being the biker tramp I was; Many bike and car loves later, I ran into the brochure he left me a few years ago, and thought : MAN that is gorgeous!
Great score. Out here in the south east, I'd ride that just like it is. Not like anyone else has one!

It's mine. Started life as a Honda 250 MX-bike but now has front forks from a Kawasaki superbike, rear shock from a GSX-R and wheels from an Aprilia 125.

Thank you! I had no idea what it was until I saw the craigslist post. Previous owner had it for 20 years and the guy before him was the head of some Moto Guzzi club, so I think I did well.
The fairing and side panels are not factory, they were added by the PO and... well it's not ideal. The side panels prevent me from getting my big feet onto the shifter.
I'll try to make a build thread for it as it happens. The plan is to keep it 100% reversible. It's not a valuable thing but I still feel bad cutting up something that's uncommon.
I fell in love with the little V50 'small block' ever since riding one with Retro Tours.
They feel so light and flick-able. I've kept my eye half open for one but they don't come up for sale that frequently. I don't think they were a big seller. I also rode Joel's 850 T-3, a bike I expected to like far more than I did. I'd rather have the V-50.

I had to go back and look! The PO did a nice job. On reflection, fairing looks mor "BMW'ish" , but not bad.

I like the looks of the more angular tanks like the blue one and his red one. The "California" or el Dorado modles dont apeal to me. The V7's or the oddball Centaro, now...
The tank shape drew me in, the bike has some really nice styling! Im not a fan of the tail but I have plans for that.
I took it out for its first real ride today, started sputtering a little under load and popping in the exhaust. It was warmer today and I didn't notice any of this when it was 20* cooler. Also, in comparison to my wife's CB360 it feels not as strong as it should. Well, time for some tuning.
I need to start a thread
This GT Avalanche was left for dead on a street and my son and I picked it up for a "home school" project.
I probably have $40 into it. It rides great and is a perfect bike for him.
We were inspired by a guy on the Tube called oldshovel who brings old mountain bike back to life.
