all of these guy's http://www.rzrforums.net it is not uncommon for them to spend over 30 large on these buggies....
base model polsris rzr xp 1000 $18,500.00, then it starts. 3 peice billet bead lock wheels $1,200.00, custom cage, $1,500.00, after market exhaust, $900.00, 5k lb winch, $400.00, harness, $300.00, led light bars, $400.00, etc......
Dumb dumb dumb. That's like spending $30k on a car you can't even drive on the street, that you have to put on a trailer and take.......
oh. um. nevermind.

Undone by the "Glass House" conundrum!

actually, they can easily be made street legal
i hope you like it...that is my favorite part, i start with a idea, like batman or skulls on this latest one, i thought of skulls because the latest color for the rzr is a metallic black, so skulls and black, then the physical look of the rzr which in this case i wanted to look like a desert racer, so you got black, skulls and desert racing, start searching ebay for skulls, you pick the ones that you want to use on the panels, then you search for desert racing vendor decals that have colors to compliment in this case silver and black (which by the way at first was going to be a Oakland raiders theme black and silver) as you are making the physical changes to the machine, exhaust, wheels, interior etc...you are collecting these decals, you want some long skinny ones to go on the cage like the utvunderground, and you want some block one to go on the trailing arms, and in some areas you are going to use a combination of vinyl carbon fiber and decals like the batman or in this case the side panel with the punisher/xp1k decal, that is a combination of 4 or 5 different decals, you start by putting on your panel or theme graphics in this case the panel of silver skulls came in a half circle decal so you have to cut them up and apply them to fit the panel, and you are adding some here and removing some there until you get the look you want, after i applied the rockstar and skulls on the panels i did not like it at all, but then i got the idea to overlay some black and silver barbed wire and bingo the once played "Rockstar" decal now is in the background and the barbed wire is taking your attention off it's color and topic, i usually leave on some of the OEM graphics in this case only the red XP came on the rzr, then you want to tie the cage to the theme of the body so you get your black barbed wire and wrap it on the cage (not uniformally) and over the vendor decals and it starts to come together in the end i usually think it is overdone and remove some, in this case i have ordered some more barbed wire to connect the front and rear side panels to the door panels, you end up spending about 2 hundred bucks on decals and will have a few left over you can use on the next build if you look at the build thread you will notice the decals changing from day to day, sorry for the rambling but I am always interested to know what people think of the final look. jr
The one thing that bugs me about the wire is that it goes over the other stickers. Pesonal preference, I guess. Other than that the colors look great together and the balance is well done. Not over-done or under-done.
My personal taste says barbed wire stripes are NEVER the right answer, but it ain't my ride. Do whut ya do.
They do look like the kind of fun that might get me arrested, and that's the bestest kind.
These are fun, but I HATE! the soggy belt drive they all have. A clutch and a close ratio sequential shifter would be the cat's ass. And they're really all under powered without some sort of swap or FI. IMO YMMV of course. I'm used to bikes and quads so in the sand where there are a bunch of these things running around, they really perform like turds.

The new Honda Pioneer 500 has an available 5sp sequential now......we were racing it against a terex in the back lot of the dealer.
